An Angel Kissed My Heart

An Angel kissed my heart last night

In twilight’s early dawn

He spoke of dear departed souls

In Glory now reborn

He spoke of those, who once so sad

Now sparkle, filled with love

So free now, of fear, and pain

In Glorious Heaven Above

An Angel kissed my heart last night

In twilight’s early dawn

With words of joy and happiness

To greet the coming morn

Of faces bright, and filled with joy

Of kinfolk once more found

Of memories so long forgot

Such peace it does abound

An Angel kissed my heart last night

In twilight’s early dawn

With hope and consolation

For those who weep and mourn

The passed are now at peace once more

Surrounded by the light

That shines forth like a beacon

From faces oh so bright

An Angel kissed my heart last night

In twilight’s early dawn

And said that He’ll return one day

To lead me when I’m gone

To that place, where I will be

With loved ones evermore

Yes an Angel kissed my heart last night

With a love so sweet, so pure
