Malevolance Walking

Deadwood, Dodge, or Abilene?
I knew not whence he came
This stranger of malevolence
The cowboy with no name.

Be he devil incarnate
To claim my withered soul?
In hand satanic bible
Shot through, with bullet hole

The veil of death precede him
Deep dark beleaguered sky
Malignant cloud majestic
Call the carrion cry

I see him now before me
No eye, no lip, nor skin
The ghost of my reflection
How slowly, draw me in

look to the face of evil
Spurt forth from unseen gun
The malfeasant is smiling
His deadly deed, now done

Ecstatic, in my death throes
Was ever I that good?
A life once gave now taken
A debt, there paid in blood
